Welcome to UnderEXPhoto Photography

Based in Hampshire, UK, and willing to travel, I am Nuno, a passionate photographer specialising in product photography, events, and lifestyle/family photography. With roots tracing back to Portugal, my journey with photography began in the 1980s, but it wasn't until 2010, when I acquired my first DSLR camera, that I truly fell in love with the art. What started as a personal hobby evolved into a professional pursuit in 2022. 

Although I honed my skills at Highbury College, Portsmouth, through various PCC courses, much of my expertise is self-taught. My relentless curiosity drives me to continuously explore new styles and techniques, fueled by an avid consumption of photography education articles and media. 

While I considered pursuing a photography degree at the University of Portsmouth, my academic path led me to Winchester, where I studied Archaeological Sciences, another of my great passions. My quest for a better life brought me to Hampshire in 2007, leaving behind a challenging economic climate in Portugal. I am a proud veteran of the Portuguese Air Force and a devoted father to three children: a 23-year-old daughter in Portugal, and two sons, aged 17 and 13, who live with me. 

In addition to photography, my diverse background includes over 25 years in the music industry as a karaoke host, lead singer/rhythm guitarist, DJ, and manager, performing across Lisbon, the Algarve, and southern England. My early love for motorcycles, which began in 1990, remains a significant passion, and I eagerly photograph car and motorcycle shows whenever possible.
